MEMORABLE MOMENTS

HOW IT WENT DOWN

  • ambushed by subhumanoid archers, along with a few chain wearers. we make short work of the first group, before their leader rolls in on wolfback. so we knock him off the wolf, kill the puppy, and call it a day
  • we pick up a few token gp, hide the bodies, and continue onward
  • after clearing out the bodies, we explore the fringes of the clearing and discover a cave entrance, with an awful lot of ruckus going on below
  • we work our way into the cavern to see agent Ylaren examining a rock. the halfling is going nuts over the rock. some kind of mental condition, i think
  • ylaren beckons us over to examine the rock with him. as we approach, he bellows something about us being fools and summons minions to attack
  • apparently, this is not ylaren, but belaron. either way, we're gonna rumble about this
  • Belaron dealt us a serious pounding, but Bitey came to the rescue and basically slaughtered him. the rest of the party was just kind of there. it was all bitey
  • we report back to Ylaren for a debriefing. he says some stuff, but Sarcenn wasn't really paying attention
  • apparently, we're being assigned to Salusa next, to deliver a sealed message to the commander of the garrison there
