MEMORABLE MOMENTS

HOW IT WENT DOWN

  • after finishing up our looting of the dragon's hoard, we start delving further into the most horrifying catacombs that the shadowfell has to offer.
  • before we get too far in, we discover two new companions: corrin, halfling sorceror extraordinaire, and mirage, a shadar-kai illusionist
  • i don't remember how we got there anymore, but we uncovered wraiths. and zombies. and probably some other kind of baddy. it was pretty confusing, with the incorporeal bastards fading in and out of walls, hiding inside of statues, etc
  • after an unspeakably long battle, we eventually break the unwill of the wraiths, and they appear to lead us into the next room
  • several members of the party search carefully, and discover sigils, or magical plates, or items of that sort that release magical locks on the door to the next room
  • khordiss, president-elect of the idiot's, dives at the final wraith as it's phasing through the wall and takes a nasty header. on the plus side though, he finds the final sigil to open the door. no wraiths, and the path is cleared for our further journeys. let's call that a win.
  • one super negative point for the party: we haven't rested in what feels like an eternity. it's just too dank and oppressive in here to take the risk. also, i think there's some overarching reason we need to hurry, but i can't remember why any more
